Gok Wan Sassy Slip Review!

Okay hotties.

The fact of the matter is, earlier this year when I bought the Gok Wan Balconette Banger Booster... I became obsessed. As I told you at the time, having bought one - I then purchased it in every colour. It is now my favourite style bra; comfortable and sexy.

After reading my rundown, Simply Yours sent me some other Gok Wan items to try and today I am going to tell you about one of them.

The Gok Wan Sassy Slip: Hello Lover!

Shape...

This is a pretty amazing piece of underwear. I'm not one to go in for shapewear much, and something I love about this is that while it IS shapewear and does pull me in - it doesn't FEEL like it's shapewear. I would liken this to a swimming costume. You know how they pull you in a bit and really hold onto your body without being constricting? This slip does exactly the same thing - it holds your body and supports you, but is comfortable and breathable.

The body of the slip has a longish hook-eye closure which runs halfway down the back... this took me a couple of goes to get used to, as there were quite a few more hooks than I use every day... But, once I was in the garment, even the first time, I felt comfort... in fact, a surprisingly familiar comfort. The material that makes up the torso of the slip is soft and the power mesh inside shapes you without restricting movement. This is a really nice, comfortable shaper - it curves down your body and accentuates curve while helping smooth out your silhouette.

Support...

I have large breasts. Large breasts that NEED support. When I tried the Balconette Banger Booster I was gob-smacked at how easily supported I felt... well, Gok has basically taken that bra, attached it to a slip and made this amazing product. The bra cups are cushioned, without being padded and the shape and lift are amazing. Seriously. The bra in this slip, like the Banger Booster, is supportive and structured, without being rigid.

Another thing about the Sassy Slip is the piping that curves down the length of the torso. This piping, not only adds to the sexiness of the garment - but helps you feel like your body is supported. If I am honest, in trying this, I DID wonder if the garment would ride up - but the piping, as well as a silicone strip at the bottom ensure this does not happen. I love how well considered this lingerie is, almost as much as I love how well it supports me.

Sexiness...

I would never usually post a picture of myself in underwear. But... there is something about this garment that is both discreet and daring. I feel gorgeous wearing this. The inside material of the slip is in leopard print and that includes a built-in pair of leopard print panties. I was a little skeptical of the pants at first - but then I remembered this IS underwear. The pants have a hook-eye closure in the 'girl-zone' for bathroom ease, or - you can actually choose to leave the hook and eye open, instead wearing your own underwear with the slip. To be honest, that is my preferred option, but as you can see from that shot of my bum - the leopard print pants are cute (don't mind my black pants underneath... but - you get the drift!). Oh, and FYI - the slip, which cuts just below your bottom (I've pulled it up for this shot) comes with suspender attachments... VA VA VOOM.

The thing I love most about this item is that I never thought I would ever own anything like this. I never thought I would find a slip, that held and complimented my body. This item - which is sized based on bra size - fits my chest, without any over-spill, it curves down my figure and it feels good. This Sassy Slip isn't an overt garment, but the material, cut and vintage styling make it so feminine and it makes you feel sexy when you wear it.

This item comes in a few different colours and is perfect under dresses or tops and skirts (in fact - it isn't intrusive and will fit under anything you might wear, including body-con)... I actually wear this Slip more than I thought I might. It is smooth and comfortable and will make you feel supported, sexy and confident - day or night... this is just lush and at £56.00, it would make a real treat for Christmas and New years...

PS... before anyone comments and maybe suggests I cover up, remember two things - this is a fashion site - and underwear is fashion - in fact - the very foundation of your fashion... and secondly - this item makes me feel GREAT and gave me the confidence to post a couple of barely risqué pics. That kind of item is something to share.

And PPS... in my vlog where I say I am a "big" girl, I pause after I say it because it seems like such a weird thing to clarify... but it is relevant - with my boobs, I really never thought I would get an amazing and feminine piece of long-line lingerie like this... that's the context in which I use the word "big". xxx
